Okay, so we are gearing up for our Non Profit status, but need to raise the funds to get the paperwork completed. We will have a table at the Horse Store and More tack swap in Chico on Saturday the 29th and we will also have a table at the Camelot Ride and Dine on October 17th
http://www.camelotequestrianpark.com/calandar.html. We will be accepting cash donations and also gently used horse related items to use as follows:
Horse Books
The horse books will be used for our- BITS for Lil BITS- an education program. We would like to supply our local communities with books, both fiction and non-fiction, on horses and how wonderful they are. It is our goal to reach out all those little girls who dream of horses and give them the opportunity to get more involved. Down the road we will be offering free clinics to school aged children on horse care, riding and general how to’s. If you know of a library, school or child who would benefit from these books please email us at:
booksforbits@yahoo.comOther items
We are also in the process of setting up a thrift/used tack shop in Paradise or in the surrounding area. Therefore, if you have stuff you need to clear out of your garage, give us a call! We will most likely start with a few garage sales and open the thrift shop once our inventory is established. If you or someone you know might be willing to donate some time and work the shop please email us at

More programs to help horses and horse owners in need to come- we are just getting started!
We are very excited to introduce Lil Bit!!!Lil Bit was recently brought to Jamie’s from a local rescue where he was surrend
ered with a bad case of worms. Lil Bit is extremely nervous and very frightened of other horses. We believe he has some abuse in his past because you cannot touch his left side and he is very head shy. It took three days before he could relax enough to roll in the shavings of his stall. For the past three weeks, Lil Bit has been allowed to take it easy have some snacks on the lawn with Ruby and the dogs and just acclimate to his new surroundings. He is now ready for his transformation from scared unsure mini horse to the proud self- assured little man we know he is. Lil Bit will start his weekly sessions with Erin Murphy of Equine Partners Inc. in Penn Valley. You can check out her website at
equinepartnersinc.com. So stay tuned and join us on his journey to transformation it all starts Wednesday morning at 10 am!
